The 24hr/48h/72h Taipei Metro Passes allow the unlimited use of the Taipei Metro for a specified number of hours from their first use. It’s a convenient and easy way to explore the capital, especially if you like to travel around cities without taking too many breaks.
What does it cost?
24 hours: NT$180
48 hours: NT$280
72 hours: NT$380
How do I use it?
To use the 24hr/48h/72h Taipei Metro Passes tap your card onto a ticket gate reader, and you’ll activate for the specified number of hours from that first entry. Note that the pass does not include the Taoyuan Metro that takes visitors from Taoyuan Airport into the city.
Is it worth it?
If you’re the type of traveler that can pack in lots in a 24hr/48h/72h period, then you could save quite a bit with one of the passes. You’d really start to save though if you use it to explore areas further away, such as Beitou, Tamsui or Xindian. If you’re in Taipei for just one calendar day though, it’s cheaper to get the day pass.
Where can I buy it?
You can buy the pass at any information center in a Taipei Metro station.
